Most businesses can't say which leads their spend produced

Typically forms go to an inbox, calls go to someone's mobile, and the monthly marketing report counts clicks. When someone asks which ads are working, no one can say, so the budget stays where it is for another year.

This is an engineering problem rather than a marketing one, and a small one. The work takes a couple of weeks and changes what every decision about spend is based on.

It is also what makes everything else measurable. Once every lead carries its source, Google Ads can bid on what books work and SEO can be reported on booked work rather than rankings. If leads arrive fine and the problem is the system your crew uses, that is enterprise software.

How we work · step one

We submit a test lead and follow it end to end

Before anything is signed off, we fill in the form ourselves and watch the record move: the event fires, the click ID is captured, the lead appears in your CRM with the campaign attached, the owner is assigned, and the follow-up is scheduled.

If any step drops the record we find out then, rather than three months later when the numbers do not add up. Configuring an integration and verifying one are different things.

What the work actually is

What CRM integration services connect, in order

Four pieces. The first two are the job; the second two are what make it worth paying for.

01

Capture every lead, wherever it arrives

Forms, calls, chat and email

Most businesses have three or four entry points and count one. The website form goes to an inbox, calls go to a mobile, the chat widget emails someone, and the figure quoted in meetings is whichever is easiest to see.

We route all of them into one place. The result is a single list of everyone who contacted you this month, which for most clients is the first time that list has existed.

02

Attach the source to every record

Click ID · campaign · landing page

When someone clicks an ad, Google adds an identifier to the link. Capturing it on the form and carrying it through to the CRM means the record knows which campaign paid for it. This step is commonly skipped, which is why most businesses can't say what their advertising produced.

The same applies to organic search: the page that produced the lead and the search that led to it, stored on the record rather than aggregated into a dashboard.

03

Routing and follow-up

Assignment, reminders, second contact

Each lead arrives with an owner, a due time and an automatic follow-up if nothing happens. Whoever responds first usually wins the job, and without routing that depends on who happens to be at their desk.

For most businesses we assess, this produces more revenue than additional lead volume would.

04

Send outcomes back to the ad platforms

Conversion values · offline conversions

When a lead becomes a booked job, that outcome is sent back to Google with its value attached. Bidding then optimizes toward leads that become work rather than forms that are easy to complete.

This is what makes automated bidding worth using. Without it the platform optimizes against a proxy.

What you get

The scope, written down before you pay

Scope goes in the agreement before you pay. This is the part people get burned on, so it is written out in full.

In the build

  • Every lead source connected into one place
  • Click ID and page captured on every form
  • Records created with owner, source and value
  • Automatic follow-up when nothing happens
  • Booked-job outcomes sent back to Google Ads

After handover

  • A test lead followed end to end before we call it done
  • Documentation of what fires, where, and what it is worth
  • Your accounts, your CRM and your data. We connect them
  • Changes billed hourly, or folded into a retainer
  • No ongoing license once it is built

Not included

  • Reselling you CRM licenses at a markup
  • Migrating years of history. That is scoped separately if you want it
  • Replacing a CRM that works fine because we prefer a different one
  • Anything requiring your team to enter a record twice

Tell us what you run now and we will tell you what connecting it would take.

Instead of reviews we do not have yet

Three things you can check before you call

Ask for the tracking plan
The document listing every event, where it fires and what it is worth. Ask any firm for theirs.
Ask about your CRM's limits
Every CRM has them. A specific answer about yours indicates whether a firm knows the platform.
Ask how the click ID survives
From the ad through the form to the CRM record. We can walk you through it on the first call.
Frequently asked

CRM integration services: questions we get first

What do CRM integration services actually do?

Connect the places leads arrive to the place you manage them, so nothing is entered twice and every record carries its source. In practice that means forms, calls and chat into one system, with the campaign, page and search attached, plus automatic follow-up.

Which CRMs do you work with?

Most of the common ones. Locally that is usually HubSpot, Salesforce, ServiceTitan or Jobber. If you run something less common we check whether it has an API before quoting, and tell you if it does not.

How long does it take and what does it cost?

Two to three weeks for a typical setup, fixed price, quoted after we review what you run. It is the smallest job on our software list and usually the fastest to pay for itself, because it makes every other marketing decision measurable.

Why can my agency not just do this?

Because it is a code change on your website, and most agencies do not have that access. They can identify that the source is missing. Adding it means editing the form, capturing the click ID and writing the connection to your CRM, which is development work.

Do I need this if I am not running ads?

It is less urgent but still worth doing. Without it you can't tell whether work came from search, the map, a referral or signage, so you can't tell what to do more of. With ads running it becomes necessary.

What is a click ID?

A short identifier Google attaches to a link when someone clicks an ad. Stored with the lead, it lets you tell Google later that this particular lead became a $4,000 job. That connects what you spent to what you earned.

Will this create work for my team?

Less, if it is done properly. The purpose is to remove re-typing and manual follow-up. An integration that adds a step for your staff is the wrong integration, and we will say so.
